Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 oz 60% cacao bar (about 1/2 bar; recommend Ghirardelli)
  • 1 box chocolate cook and serve pudding (NOT instant)
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 cups dry milk
  • 1 cup non-dairy creamer

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a food processor or blender, blend the white chocolate chips and chocolate bar until you have a fine powder with no large chunks.
  • In a large bowl with a lid or a zipper lock bag, combine all the ingredients.
  • Put the lid on or seal the bag, and shake thoroughly until everything is completely mixed.

Making Hot Chocolate

  • Mix 1/3 cup of the hot chocolate mix with 1 cup of water or milk.
  • Place the mixture on the stove and bring it to a light simmer while stirring constantly.
  • For the microwave: Mix the hot chocolate mix with the liquid in a microwave-safe dish. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute, stir thoroughly, then heat for another minute until it boils. Stir again and let it cool a bit.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream, marshmallows, or a sprinkle of cocoa powder on top. You can customize the flavor by adding a pinch of cinnamon, vanilla extract, or different flavored creamers.
