Ingredients

Hot Chocolate Mix Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 oz 60% cacao chocolate bar (about 1/2 bar) I use Ghirardelli
  • 1 box chocolate cook and serve pudding NOT instant
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 cups dry milk
  • 1 cup non-dairy creamer

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a food processor or blender, blend the white chocolate chips and chocolate bar until you have a fine powder with no large chunks.
  • In a large bowl with a lid or a zipper lock bag, combine all the ingredients.
  • Put the lid on or seal the bag, and shake thoroughly until everything is completely mixed.

Making Hot Chocolate

  • Mix 1/3 cup of the hot chocolate mix with 1 cup of water or milk.
  • Place the mixture on the stove and bring it to a light simmer while stirring constantly.
  • Alternatively, for the microwave: Mix the hot chocolate mix with the liquid in a microwave-safe dish. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute, stir thoroughly, then heat for another minute until it boils. Stir again and let it cool a bit. Enjoy!

Notes

Serve hot chocolate in a cozy mug topped with whipped cream, marshmallows, or cocoa powder. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for several months.
