Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 8 large large 8-inch flour tortillas
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz deli turkey breast slices
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup butter lettuce leaves, dried

Optional ingredients

  • Cucumber, avocado, red onion, dill, or chives Feel free to customize the wraps with your choice of additional vegetables.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by shredding the cheese, washing the lettuce, and ensuring the cream cheese is soft.

Assembly

  • Place the tortillas out on a cutting board, slightly overlapping them to ensure there are no gaps.
  • Use a spatula or knife to spread a thin, even layer of cream cheese over each tortilla, leaving about a half-inch border on one edge.
  • Place turkey slices over the cream cheese, overlapping them slightly for complete coverage.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the turkey, then add a light layer of dried lettuce.
  • Starting from the edge closest to you, roll each tortilla tightly away from you, tucking in the filling as you go.
  • Wrap each roll tightly in plastic wrap, twisting the ends like a candy wrapper. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  • After chilling, remove the plastic wrap and use a sharp chef's knife to slice each roll into 1-inch pinwheels.

Notes

These wraps can be served on a platter as finger food for parties or individually for lunch. They pair excellently with dipping sauces like ranch or salsa. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3 to 5 days.
